These events mark the full activation of the Voi network, setting the stage for a thriving and decentralized ecosystem where contributions are recognized, rewarded, and put to work securing the blockchain.
The funding of various contracts within the Voi ecosystem is a significant milestone, as it enables the distribution of rewards to those who have actively contributed to our growth and success. Here’s what you need to know about the upcoming events:
Key Dates and Events:
October 28: Fund Incentivized Testnet Airdrop Contracts
Airdrop contracts for incentivized testnet participants are funded.
This is the moment many of our early supporters have been waiting for. With these contracts funded, participants who contributed to the testnet phases will receive their well-deserved airdrops. These rewards reflect the value you’ve added to the Voi ecosystem and will be available for staking on nodes, contributing to the network’s security and earning block rewards.
October 28: Fund Staking Lockup Contracts
Staking lockup contracts are funded.
Once these contracts are funded, the countdown for lockup and vesting begins. Importantly, your staked tokens, along with any airdropped bonus tokens, will be immediately available to secure the network and start earning block rewards, even while they are locked and vesting.
October 28: Fund Ambassadors Contracts
Ambassadors contracts are funded.
The contributions of our Voi Ambassadors, who have been instrumental in spreading the word and building the community, will be recognized with the funding of these contracts. The tokens earned during Phase 2 will begin vesting, and like the other contracts, they can be staked to help secure the network and earn rewards.
October 28: Fund Relay Runners Contracts
Relay Runners contracts are funded.
Relay Runners, who played a key role in maintaining the network during its early phases, will see their efforts rewarded as these contracts are funded. The vested tokens can be staked immediately, ensuring that those who helped build the network can continue to contribute to its security and growth.
October 28: Fund Moderators Contracts
Moderators contracts are funded.
Our Moderators have been crucial in maintaining a healthy and active community. With the funding of these contracts, their contributions during Phase 2 will be recognized. As with other rewards, these tokens can be staked to earn block rewards while they vest.
October 28: Fund Transition Node Runners Contracts
Transition Node Runners contracts are funded.
For those who ensured a smooth transition from testnet to mainnet by running nodes, this funding marks the start of their reward vesting. These tokens can immediately be put to work, staking on nodes to secure the network and earn block rewards.
October 30: Block Rewards Start
The initiation of block rewards.
This is the moment we’ve all been working towards — the official start of block rewards. With a small time gap between contract funding and the start of block rewards, participants will have a brief window to ensure their tokens are staked and ready to secure the network. From this point forward, all staked tokens, including those received through airdrops, will actively participate in securing the Voi blockchain and earning rewards.
