Testnet Phase 2 Update
The Voi Foundation is excited to share some important updates regarding Phase 2 of our Incentivized Testnet.
Extended Duration
To ensure continuous incentives for participants and a seamless transition to mainnet, we are extending the duration of Testnet Phase 2 until the launch of mainnet, which is expected to occur in September or October.
Staggering Growth
The growth of Phase 2 has been truly remarkable. Here are some key data points showcasing our progress:
- Twitter Followers: Increased from 3,000 to 26,000+.
- Discord Members: Grew from 2,750 to 18,000+.
- Telegram Members: Reached 6500+ since its inception.
- Online Nodes: Increased from 850 to 3,500+.
- Voting Nodes (7d): Expanded from 600 to 3,400+.
- Kibisis Installations: Grew from 900 to 14,000+.
Node Participation and Point Earning
After the 1st of August, which was the original estimated end date for Testnet Phase 2:
- New nodes will not qualify to earn points towards the airdrop.
- All participants can still engage in the testnet through other avenues such as Galxe (social media quests) and ecosystem quests.
Grandfather Clause for Existing Nodes
Nodes that were operational before the 1st of August cut-off date will be grandfathered in.
These nodes will continue to earn points for each week they remain healthy, contributing to the participant’s share of the airdrop.
Commitment to Our Community
The Voi Foundation is committed to fostering a vibrant and active community. By extending the duration and increasing the allocation for Phase 2, we aim to provide continuous incentives for participants to contribute to the testnet, ensuring a robust and seamless transition to mainnet.
Thank you for your ongoing support and participation. Let’s continue working together to build Voi.
Sincerely,
Voi Foundation
