Introducing the Voi Mainnet Bootstrap Airdrop and the Node Migration & Pre-Block Reward Incentives, both designed to ensure a successful mainnet launch and encourage early network participation.
Voi Mainnet Bootstrap Airdrop
The Mainnet Bootstrap Airdrop is a special distribution of Voi tokens aimed at supporting our dedicated testnet participants, helping configure mainnet-ready infrastructure, and recognizing the contributions of our early community members.
Purpose of the Mainnet Bootstrap Airdrop
- Support Testnet Participants: Provide a small amount of Voi tokens to cover the costs associated with configuring incentivized testnet airdrop lockup contracts and enabling nodes to participate in the mainnet.
- Facilitate Mainnet Launch: Ensure that all testnet participants can transition smoothly to the mainnet, enabling their nodes to go online and participate in consensus, thus helping secure the Voi blockchain.
- Recognize Early Contributions: This airdrop will permanently record the founding addresses of our early community members on the Voi blockchain, recognizing their foundational contributions.
- Enable Pre-Block Rewards Participation: The airdrop will provide the necessary tokens for nodes to go online, allowing them to qualify for additional pre-block reward incentives, encouraging early node operation to secure the network.
Node Migration & Pre-Block Reward Incentives
As part of our mainnet rollout, node operators will have the opportunity to migrate their nodes from testnet to mainnet. This is a crucial step in securing the Voi blockchain and contributing to its stability and growth.
Key Aspects of Node Migration & Pre-Block Rewards
- Node Migration: Node operators can begin migrating their nodes from the testnet environment to the mainnet.
- Pre-Block Reward Incentives: Nodes that participate in consensus before all airdrop contracts are funded will earn a share of an airdrop that will consist of up to 3MM $Voi. This incentive rewards early adopters who help secure the network during its critical early stages.
Key Dates to Remember
September 17th
- Mainnet Bootstrap Airdrop Begins: Airdrop for Testnet Participants. Participants will receive a small airdrop to cover the costs associated with configuring their incentivized testnet airdrop lockup contracts and enabling go online transactions for nodes.
- Node Migration Starts: Transition from testnet to mainnet begins. Users can start migrating their testnet nodes to mainnet, taking the next step towards securing the Voi blockchain.
- Pre-Block Reward Incentives Start: Node runners can start earning a bonus airdrop for operating their nodes before all airdrop contracts are funded. These rewards incentivize early node participation in the network.
- Incentivized Testnet Airdrop Lockup Contracts Launched: Contracts for eligible participants are launched. Participants can configure their lockup periods through the official website, ensuring they will receive their bonus.
September 25th
- Incentivized Testnet Airdrop Lockup Contracts Configuration Deadline: This is the final day to configure your lockup periods. Ensure your lockup settings are completed by this date to receive your bonus rewards.
October 28th
- All Contracts Funded and Pre-Block Reward Incentives End: The funding of all airdrop contracts is completed, and the period for earning pre-block reward incentives concludes.

- Participate in Testnet Phase 2 or Testnet Phase 1: Ensure your participation in Testnet Phase 2 or Phase 1 is documented and recognized by the Voi Foundation.
- Migrate Your Node: Follow the official instructions to migrate your node from testnet to mainnet. This will be a crucial step to qualify for the pre-block reward incentives.
